10 Years Later
On this day 10 years ago, the United States of America was attacked. It was the worst attack in American history where nearly 3,000 innocent people were killed by 19 terrorists. This ten year anniversary should be a remembrance of all the lives lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93 where the 40 passengers took action and thwarted the terrorists plot to crash the plane into the capitol. This day should be a tribute to the men and women who first responded to the attacks and risked their own lives to save others. This day should be a time to thank all of the American troops for their service and to remember those who have lost their lives, were wounded, or are currently fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. This day should be a time of prayer and remembrance. Since these attacks, no other terrorist has succeeded in attacking the United States. We have remained safe because of the efforts of the men and women risking their lives for what America stands for. One thing that came of this day was unprecedented bi-partisan cooperation between Democrats and Republicans to really benefit America. Unfortunately, hostility towards Muslims did emerge from this as well. However, that aggression was misplaced. The attacks were caused by a radical minority.
Today, September 11th, 2011 marks the 10 year anniversary of an event that shook the world. President Bush received numerous calls from nations around the world expressing their disbelief, condolences, and support for whatever action he took. His action led us into a war that has lasted almost 10 years. However long, this war has succeeded in preventing another terrorist attack on US soil.
In closing, I would like to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of those who were killed ten years ago, the family and friends of the first responders who lost their lives trying to save others, the family and friends of the troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the troops who are currently risking their lives.

Starting for real???
Now I've had this blog for a loooooong time, but as you can see, my last post was earlier this year and before that, well who knows when the last post was. Anyways, I'm trying to start this up again, for no real reason, just to sort of see where it takes me. Anyways, today was a really long day. I went with the rest of my family up to LAX to drop my sister (whose blog is linked to over there -----> (Lanae)) off. She's off to Korea for a year. A year which is full of a whole bunch of stuff for me to do.
That's enough of a starting post for now, cause I've got school tomorrow...joy.

Every 15 Minutes
Tuesday April 20th and Wednesday April 21st were very emotional days. The Every 15 Minutes Program came to my school. It was an indescribable experience that I will never forget. It was so wonderful and I am so glad that they came. The program set up a mock crash between two cars which were full of people. Two of them died and the others had to deal with being in the crash. It was a very moving experience and I am so glad that I was able to see and photograph it. The pictures are on my facebook and a slide show of those is on my facebook and on my youtube page. Check them out and comment on what you think.

Although it's been a month or two, school just started back up and now we've been going for about six or seven weeks.
